Gold data note — disclosed here as on every page of this family: the gold series carries roughly 196 fewer weekday sessions than the energy instruments over 2010 – Jun 2026 (about 5%) — sessions COMEX does not settle plus five multi-day data outages between 2016 and 2019, the longest eight sessions in May 2019. The maximum-drawdown region (2011–2015) contains no multi-day outages. On our energy platform, gold serves as a macro risk reference beside the energy book. Here it stands on its own: the same engine, two lenses, judged as a gold signal.

Lens 1 · Entropy

The direction of disorder

A healthy market is roughly symmetric — surprises come both ways. The entropy lens reads whether the chaos in gold's daily movement is concentrating on the downside — the statistical fingerprint of fear taking over — or draining away. It stands aside when downside disorder is unusually high and growing unusually fast, and re-engages when it drains away. This is the flagship physics of the QEIv18 family, with the certified record above.

Lens 2 · Resonance

The rhythm of the crowd

A healthy market moves to many beats at once. When gold locks into one dominant rhythm — herding, one-way coordination — the structure is fragile, however orderly it looks. The resonance lens stands aside when rhythm-locking is unusually strong and strengthening, and re-engages when the market dissolves back into healthy noise. An independent physics, on the same sealed engine.

Where the protection shows up

Months in three states — winning, protected, losing.

Across 193 months, the resonance lens spent 46% of months winning, 22% fully protected in cash, and 32% losing. Among months actually exposed, 59% were winners — and the average winning month (+3.4%) outweighed the average losing month (−2.7%). Longest winning streak: five months. Longest losing streak: four. Worst single month: −11.8%. Every red cell is shown on the evidence page — the losses are part of the record, not an inconvenience to it.
